Health/Mobility

Travelmarvel requires a good level of fitness and general mobility. Travellers must be able to walk reasonable distances unassisted climb stairs and board touring vehicles and boats (with or without handrails) as necessitated by the specific itinerary.

Arrival Day 1

Travellers must arrive into Launceston Airport between 8:00am – 12:15pm. If flights arrive outside of these times, travellers may have to forfeit the afternoon touring and must make their own way to the group hotel in Launceston. One night pre tour accommodation in Launceston may be requested at a rate of $290.00 per room and includes breakfast and a private transfer from Launceston Airport – please note the pre tour accommodation is subject to hotel availability and must be pre-booked 5 months prior to start date.

Children

Children under the age of 12 years of age are not recommended to participate in this tour.

Luggage

Travelmarvel allows ONE suitcase, which is to weigh no more than 20kg. A small day bag or backpack to take onboard the premium coach is also recommended.

A single supplement from $1,200 is payable in addition to the twin share price for solo occupancy.

Below group hotels are to be used as an indicative guide for the standard of accommodation to expect. Actual hotels may differ and will be confirmed on your final documentation.

All hotel rooms will feature either a twin room (two single beds) or a double room (1 queen bed). All bedding requests cannot be guaranteed however all special requests should be made known at time of booking.

Exclusions

Meals not stated, drinks, optional sightseeing, travel insurance (strongly recommended), tipping, personal expenses and anything not explicitly specified are at your own expense.

Payment

A first deposit from $899 per person is required to secure your booking. The final balance will be due 5 months before departure. Full payment is due at the time of booking for departures within 5 months.

Pre tour accommodation in Launceston starts from $290 per room and includes breakfast and a private Launceston Airport transfer. Post tour accommodation in Hobart is not available on this itinerary.
You may wish to purchase your own pre or post accommodation – no airport transfers are included.

Child

This tour is best enjoyed by adult travellers and is not suitable for children under 12 years of age. Children 12 years and above are subject to the adult price and must be accompanied by an adult.

Price

Surcharges may apply for select travel periods and departure cities. Prices are correct at time of publication and are subject to availability, change, cancellation or withdrawal without notice. All prices are in Australian dollars per person twin share unless stated otherwise.

Amendment

Each amendment is subject to a non-refundable fee from $75 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, and accommodation providers may apply.

Cancellation

Cancellation at any time is subject to a non-refundable fee from $550 per person. Additional fees and fare differences from third-party suppliers including air, tour, and accommodation providers may apply.

Deviation

Any request to deviate from the original dates or routing, including early arrival and stay behind, is subject to a flight deviation fee from $150 per person plus applicable airfare and tax difference.

Luggage

Each passenger is entitled to take one piece of luggage that does not exceed 160 cm (63 inches) or weigh more than 20 kg (44 pounds). Dimensions for checked baggage are calculated by adding together the width, height, and depth of the piece of baggage. Luggage and personal effects are your own risk and we hold no liability for lost or damaged belongings.

Meals

Please notify us at the time of booking of any special dietary requirements and allergies. We will pass on your requirements but cannot guarantee that they can be met as certain choices may be limited. You are encouraged to reconfirm requirements with your tour guide whilst on tour.

Accommodation

Travelmarvel strives to provide the best available accommodation in each destination, ensuring passengers experience high standards of cleanliness, comfort, and service. The hotels mentioned in the “What to Expect on Tour” are for reference only, and the final accommodation details will be included in your documentation, sent approximately four weeks before your departure date.

Tipping

Tipping for guides and drivers is discretionary and recommended as a gesture of appreciation for the service provided.

Flights

Flights are based on economy flights into Launceston and returning from Hobart. Flights are booked approximately 8 to 10 months prior to departure with the airline and flight details to be advised. The flights included in your package are based on a specific predetermined airfare allowance. Airlines include Virgin Australia, Jetstar and Qantas. All tickets will be purchased with a seat+ bag. Should there be a significant increase in airfares, fuel levies, taxes or government fees at the time of booking flights, then an airfare supplement may be imposed. The flights team will discuss the options with you prior to ticketing, should this situation arise. No show of any flight sectors will result in the automatic cancellation of all onward flights by the airline.

Fuel

In the unlikely event of a significant increase in fuel costs levied by third-party air or land transportation operators before travel, a fuel supplement may be passed on to the customer.

Arrival Day 1

Departure day 6

Travellers can depart Hobart Airport any time. Hotel check-out will be required b 10:00am.

Group Size

You will meet like-minded travellers on tour and may even make lifelong friends. This group holiday will proceed with a minimum group size of approximately 10 passengers and a maximum group size of approximately 40 passengers. If the trip does not operate, you will be offered a credit.

Optional Sightseeing

Travelmarvel offers guests optional sightseeing experiences which can be booked and paid at time of booking or while on tour (subject to availability).

• Day 5 – Bruny Island Adventure from $265pp

As the above optional experiences are operated by a third party, some experiences or programs may not be available due to operational capabilities such as minimum numbers not being met or due to weather conditions. Alternative programs may be offered by the Travelmarvel Tour Director during the tour.

Itinerary

The operating schedule and itinerary may be impacted without notice by adverse weather, seasonal factors, closures, local conditions, COVID-19 or other factors beyond our control including force majeure. If attractions are not available due to reasons beyond our control such as closures or adverse weather, alternatives will be provided where possible. The itinerary and its order, sightseeing and transportation may be adjusted as deemed appropriate by the operator for optimum safety, enjoyment and operation. Any reference to ‘optional’, ‘not included’ or ‘exclusions/excluded’ means at your own expense.

Breakaway

Customers must always remain with the tour group and must not leave the tour unless written approval is provided before departure.

Documentation

Final documentation will be sent up to two weeks prior to departure.

Valued Up To

Where a comparative ‘valued up to’ price is displayed with the advertised price, it should be taken as a comparison to a product of similar duration, standard of travel and inclusions to that destination that is available for sale to the public for a similar time of travel. Where a comparative product of the same duration cannot be found, an average price per day may be used. Where a comparative product of similar inclusions cannot be found, the products of multiple providers may be combined to produce a comparative price.

Travel Insurance

Force Majeure

Force majeure means any natural disaster, accident, fire, act of God, act of war, terrorism, legally binding judgment, injunction, action of a court or other relevant authority, emergency, unplanned repairs, maintenance, strike, industrial dispute, work ban, blockade or picketing, travel ban, pandemic, epidemic or outbreak of infectious disease, or other event beyond our reasonable direct or indirect control. In case of force majeure or other extraordinary event that prevents safe travel, the supplier reserves the right to adjust, postpone or cancel the trip.
